Dragon Voice Recognition (VR) represents the next step in enhancing both clinical and patient experience through a talk-to-text solution.
AI will increasingly play a vital role with Dragon VR utilizing intuitive technology that continually evolves and enhances clinicians’ personal speech profile. This advancement will boost the accuracy of dictations and clinic letters.
Dragon VR contains an extensive clinical dictionary, ensuring that key information can be recorded accurately. It also allows for the integration of new clinical vocabulary as terms emerge. The software is easy accessibility and is compatible with smartphones, enabling clinicians to use smartphone devices as microphones or connect via a dedicated SpeechMic. Additionally, Dragon VR can generate auto-texts using personalised templates activated by voice commands, enhancing efficiency even further.
Initially, Dragon VR will streamline outpatient correspondence by accelerating the time between appointments and the receipt of notes and follow-ups. Overtime, we anticipate broader application for this type of technology, with enhanced system integration that will expand its use, from generating letters in real time to directly dictating into the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR).
