Biography
Rashmi Singh is one of a very small number of consultant female urological surgeons in the region, thus offering patients in the South West London and Surrey area a unique opportunity to consult a female doctor for any urological problem. In addition to her general urology practice she has a subspecialist expertise in kidney stone disease, offering dedicated stone clinics and laser/percutaneous stone surgery
She has a joint appointment with St George’s Hospital where she is part of the Endourology and Stone team.
She is the departmental lead for audit and clinical governance and is an educational supervisor on the Foundation programme. She is a clinical supervisor for higher surgical trainees in urology
Rashmi trained at Guys and St Thomas’ Medical School. She had a diverse training in the South Thames region in all areas of general urology and subsequently developed a sub specialist interest in kidney stone and upper tract disease.
She completed an MD thesis in prostate cancer genetics at the Royal Marsden Hospital and Institute of Cancer Research. She has had publications in a number of scientific journals and textbooks of urology.
She was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon to Kingston and St George’s Hospitals in 2006. She also provides NHS outpatient services at Queen Mary’s Hospital Roehampton and at Surbiton Hospital.
