Biography
Miss Shankar is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG).
She completed her higher specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Trent region and London Deanery. She then spent two years as a research fellow in the Early Pregnancy Unit and Foetal Medicine Unit at the Royal Free Hospital in London.
She obtained the RCOG/RCR diploma in advanced obstetric ultrasound and the RCOG certificate of special skills training in gynaecological ultrasound.
Her special interests and areas of expertise include early pregnancy, acute gynaecology, gynaecological ultrasound, menstrual disorders, menopause and benign gynaecology.
She is also the Clinical Lead for the Early Pregnancy and Acute Gynaecology Unit at Kingston Hospital.
