Biography
Miss Bambridge graduated from St George’s Hospital in 2005 and completed her specialty training in South London. She was appointed a Consultant Obstetrician and Lead Consultant for Labour Ward at Kingston Hospital in 2015.
Her specialist interests are high risk pregnancies and inprapartum care. She was a member of the Sign Up to Safety Team winning a HSJ Awards in 2018 for Improving Outcomes Through Learning and Development. The main focus of this project being Human Factors training and interpretation of fetal heart rate patterns in labour through applying physiology. This work has seen a reduction in number of babies born at Kingston Hospital with severe brain injury.
She is keen to promote research in Reproductive Medicine both locally and throughout the sector and is the Specialist Lead for South London at the Clinical Research Network. Miss Bambridge has been Principal Investigator for several recently published trials in Hypertensive Disorders in pregnancy in which Kingston Maternity Unit played a key role. These studies, PHOENIX and PARROT, being published in the Lancet and BJOG respectively.
Miss Bambridge is an Education Supervisor providing clinical and pastoral support to trainee doctors and is Work Place Behaviours Champion for the South London School for Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
