Biography

Miss Middleton qualified from Oriel College, Oxford and then completed her clinical training at St. George’s Hospital, London. She taught anatomy at Cambridge University and then went on to complete her orthopaedic training in London and the South West Thames region.

Miss Middleton completed a fellowship in Knee Surgery at the Wakefield Orthopaedic Centre in Adelaide, Australia. Fiona has also completed Hand Surgery fellowship training at St. George’s Hospital. She has been an NHS Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Kingston Hospital since 2009 and operates at Kingston hospital and at the EOC at Epsom. Fiona has been the orthopaedic lead at Kingston for the National Hip Fracture Database and helped reduce time of fracture patients waiting to go to theatre as well as length of hospital stay.

Miss Middleton has presented nationally and internationally and she continues to train and teach Specialist Registrars. Fiona is also involved in mentoring women in surgical training.

Hand conditions such as Dupuytren’s disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, tendonitis, thumb and finger arthritis, ganglions/cysts/swellings of the hand and wrist injuries

Hand surgery- Carpal tunnel decompression, dupuytren’s surgery, trigger finger release, finger joint replacement, wrist arthroscopy, removal of ganglion
