Information for disabled patients and visitors
We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and endeavour to conform to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. This website is built to WCAG 2.2 standards.
The Trust is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
This accessibility statement applies to Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust website.
The website is run by the Trust. As a healthcare organisation, we understand how important it is for our patients and the people who care for them to easily access and understand the information they need.
We are committed to making sure as many people as possible can use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen and without content being truncated or overlapping
- navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
There is advice available online to help you make your device easier to use if you have a disability, including from the AbilityNet charity.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall accessibility. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing any area of this website, please contact us.
