Biography
Mr Jarrett is a consultant laparoscopic (keyhole) general and colorectal surgeon with a special interest in hernia and haemorrhoid surgery, as well as faecal incontinence and pelvic floor problems.
Mr Jarrett trained at both Cambridge and Oxford University Medical Schools. He undertook SHO training in Bristol and Bath and then returned to the Oxford rotation for registrar jobs. He undertook research at St. Mark’s Hospital, London which studied the use of innovative techniques to manage faecal incontinence and especially sacral nerve stimulation upon which he published widely and helped to write the NICE guidelines. He was awarded an MD at Oxford for this work and also the Arris and Gale Lectureship by the Royal College of Surgeons.
He undertook his laparoscopic training in Colchester and was awarded an Ethicon Laparoscopic Colorectal Fellowship.
