Consultant nephrologist and consultant in internal medicine

 

Biography

Dr Ismail is a Consultant Nephrologist and a Consultant in Internal Medicine. He is the Kidney Disease Lead at Kingston NHS Hospital Trust and has specialist interests in both acute kidney disease and chronic kidney disease.

Dr Ismail’s speciality training was predominantly carried out in South London Teaching Hospitals. After completing his training at King’s College, he joined us as a consultant in 2014.

Aside from his clinical duties Dr Ismail is extensively involved in teaching and improving junior doctor’s services with a commitment to improving the quality of care and patients experience across heath services.

This includes kidney diseases related to infections, haematuria, proteinuria, immunological conditions of all types and cardiovascular disease. Within cardiovascular disease patients, he has a special focus on complex hypertension patients and cardio–renal syndrome patients.
