Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Consultant
Biography
Mr Parag Patel is one of our Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Consultants. He began his medical career in London, qualifying from Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospitals Medical and Dental Schools. He then undertook basic and higher surgical training in King’s College Hospital, Guy’s Hospital and St George’s hospital.
After finishing his training, Mr Patel went overseas to Brisbane to work under the guidance of Professor Bill Coman and Assoc/Prof Ben Panizza to perform Head and Neck Skull base surgery. Whilst in Australia, he volunteered for the Deadly Ears Foundation, travelling to rural areas performing operations for children living in deprived Aboriginal communities. Mr Patel returned to the UK for a further skull base and cochlear implant fellowship and locum consultant position in Addenbrooke’s Hospital Medical School, Cambridge.
Mr Patel treats a wide range of children’s ENT problems including glue ear, hearing loss, mastoid surgery, tonsillitis, nasal obstruction and obstructive sleep disorders. He is the paediatric and otology lead surgeon at Kingston Hospital.
Mr Patel enjoys participating in long range rifle shooting and was selected to represent England in the 2006 Melbourne, 2010 Delhi, 2014 Glasgow and 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. During these competitions, he won four Gold, a Silver and three Bronze Medals.
