Kingston Hospital Charity has funded the conversion of a maternity triage area in the midwife-led Birth Centre at Kingston Hospital, into a multifunctional space for women and their families called The Nest, thanks to a generous donation from local residents Fernando and Any Vicario.

Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust are calling on staff and the public to donate food for Christmas food parcels, for local Disabled people in need. This is in support of a Christmas food parcel campaign run by Ruils Independent Living, a Teddington based disability charity.

Kingston Hospital Charity has funded the purchase of 12 recliner chairs for the Hospital’s recently opened Frailty Same Day Emergency Care Unit and Emergency Department’s Critical Decisions Unit. The 12 fully reclinable chairs, which include six specialist chairs, will help to reduce the risk of patients developing pressure sores or falling while in hospital and will support Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust’s ongoing strategy to prevent the deconditioning of elderly and frail patients.
